HOMEBOY SECURITY

What gives someone the right to take a gun?

Pull the trigger, and kill someone’s son?

We all have the right to bear firearms!

But the murder rate has just gone too far!

We deploy our soldiers to battle at war,

Yet what exactly are they fighting for?

Freedom of America? So it seems!

Are we free when we can’t even walk the streets?

Little children can’t safely play in the parks!

Ducking for cover when shots are sparked!

Little boy shot, while taking a piano lesson!

Paralyzed, but not dead. Now that is a blessing!

Hope this war is not over money or oil!

Tears shed, blood lost, so much turmoil!

America the beautiful, land of the free!

Government officials have security!

America the beautiful, home of the brave!

Who’s going to stop the next generation

From going to their graves?

Too many guns, getting in the wrong hands!

Presidential candidates what are your plans?

America the beautiful, land of the free!

What about our Homeboy’s security?

Homeland Security, what a big joke!

Keep fighting in Iraq, while our country goes broke!

Bring our soldiers home to fight this war!

Or is America the beautiful, worth fighting for?

  2. Well said my friend and well written. This war within our cities is senseless and painful to bare. I pray that some day we'll gain some peace of mind and walk streets safe again. Great work dear lady
